Tales of the Gladiator is a celebratory project remembering the Gladiator Pub in Druids Heath (1969–2012)

We have collected memories, recorded oral histories, researched local history and newspaper archives and have compiled a photographic collection from the community.

This material was used to make a specially brewed commemorative beer, a pop-up pub, an exhibition and a play ‘Spirits of the Gladiator’.
